Mark Hawkins miniature lantern timepiece

A nicely proportioned single-handed* miniature lantern timepiece with passing strike.

The break-arch dial with finely-matted centre and applied silvered chapter ring with engraved Roman numerals and lozenge half-hour markers. Single, finely detailed, pierced steel hand. Silvered boss in break-arch carrying maker's signature "Mark Hawkins Newmarkett".

The later spring-driven carriage clock movement with high quality platform escapement and passing strike on the original lantern bell.

A good single-handed timepiece, runs superbly and perfect for siting on a mantlepiece or table top.

The clock having 3" square frame and 5 3/4" high by 4 1/4" wide break-arch dial. The clock stands 8 1/2" high to top of bell finial.

We also have in stock a very original lantern clock by the maker William Hawkins, brother of Mark Hawkins.

* The clock can easily be converted to 2 hands with the addition of a minute hand if required.
