A George II oak longcase with 10" square brass dial and 30 hour plated movement. Fine matting to dial centre, silvered chapter ring and date ring and fine steel replacement hand*.

The oak case standing 77.5" high. The hood having opening front door with period glass. Fixed decorative half pillars to the hood front and quarter pillars to the rear.

Point of interest - a copy of the Last Will and Testament of Henry Payton will also be supplied with this clock.

Henry Payton of Bromsgrove is a sought-after and recorded clockmaker of 1745 to 1765

* The original hand, although corroded has been retained and is kept with the clock.
