Longcase Clock by Charles Oldham
SOUTHAM, WARWICKSHIRE
c. 1780
A George III oak longcase with 11" square brass dial and 30-hour plated movement. Fine engraving to the dial centre with date ring below. Original chain drive.
The solid oak case standing 73.5" high, the hood with period glass. Turned hood columns with plain brass capitals. Evidence shows that this case and movement have always been together.
A clock well-suited to a cottage with low ceiling, being only 73.5" tall. A truly stunning clock.
