Three-Quarter Size Lantern Clock

A striking timepiece with no evidence of an alarm ever having been fitted. Having crown wheel and short bob pendulum. The hammer stop in the usual style of Northern lantern clocks. Rope drive on the Huygens continuous rope system. Engraved dial centre. Original iron hour hand. Cross-dolphin frets.
Very rare to find these smaller lantern clocks (under 12" high) compared with the more common full-size (15"-16" high) lanterns or the miniature alarms.
The clock having 4 1/8" square frame, 4 3/4" diameter chapter ring of 5/8" width and engraved 5" high dial plate. Standing just under 12" high to top of bell finial.
