Lantern Clock

A countwheel striking lantern clock with original recoil escapement and long pendulum. Very original movement running on original rope driven pulleys.
The strapped bell over urn finials and three cast pierced frets, the front fret engraved with crossed dolphins and floral motif, supported on tapering Doric columns with ball feet. Brass side doors and iron back plate (not shown).
The Roman chapter ring with inner quarter hour track with half-hour markers, fine floral engraving to dial plate in the traditional Kent style and single pierced iron hand.
Two train weight-driven movement with countwheel strike and anchor escapement.
The clock having 5 1/2" square frame, 6 1/2" diameter chapter ring of 1 1/2" width and engraved 6 1/4" high dial plate. Standing 15" high to top of bell finial.
