A lacquered oak longcase with brass arch dial (12" wide) showing hours, minutes and seconds and having a calendar aperture. The five pillar movement of eight day duration, with rack striking counting the hours on a bell. The long door with arched top measuring 38". The clock having its original brass faced pendulum and brass cased lead weights.

William Howes of Temple Bar London was apprenticed in 1721. He was in the Clockmakers Company in 1730 and became a Liveryman of the Clockmakers Company between 1766-1773.

Height: 89" (226cm) plus 4.5" (11.5cm) for the finials.
