A George III fruitwood longcase with 10" square brass dial and 30 hour plated movement. Fine matting to dial centre and silvered chapter ring. The case stands 77.5" high with opening front door with period glass and with fixed decorative half pillars. The hood has quarter pillars to the rear. Nice long door (36"). The case is solid and has been sympathetically restored.

Joseph Hobbins of Bradley Green is a recorded clockmaker of 1770[1].
