A George III mahogany longcase with 11" square brass dial and 30 hour birdcage movement. The solid mahogany case standing 79" high, the hood with period glass. The case is solid and a dark mahogany with a good patina and some very fine mouldings. Turned hood columns with plain brass capitals attached to the door. The dial has steel hands and fine engraving of a country scene to the centre with calendar below. Original chain drive, old weight and period pendulum.
